On July 7, 2004, MIESCOR, represented by its Chairman and President, Jesus P. Francisco, was given the Outstanding Business Expectations Survey Respondent of the Year by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, represented by Governor Rafael Buenaventura. Other awardees include Seacom, Inc. for Outstanding Respondent Award for small companies less than 100 employees and sectoral awardees, Lates Products for Industry, Smart/Piltel for Special Awards, Cohaco Trading for Trade and Jollibee Foods Corporation for Services. The awardees were chosen from more than 600 respondents to the BES quarterly surveys based on the quality of their response as to completeness, accuracy, timeliness and response rate. The survey results are important to BSP for crafting market-based monetary and banking policies and to business for fine-tuning its programs and pricing decisions.



NEW PROJECTS FROM MAYNILAD

Maynilad Water Services Inc. awarded two projects to MIESCOR amounting to P50 million. One project is worth P21 million for the pipe replacement along Tolentino, Cabrera, Protacio and Gambang Sts in Pasay City while the other one is worth P29 million for the Dagat-Dagatan Temfacil Project - Package 7.
